Cooking Special on Birthday
Updated: Nov 11, 2019
Cooking on your birthday is a special feeling, especially what you cook turns out to be mouth watering!

I love fish. I love to taste different varieties of fish. However, when it comes to cooking, I sometimes like to try my own combinations and modifications with fish.
Fish is a common item in any Assamese or Bengali main meal.
So, on my birthday, it is only natural that I would experiment with fish to check my cooking skills. It’s not that I don’t cook. I do cook; everyday. And I like it.
So, I wrapped the fish in a banana leaf along with added black pepper, green pepper, garlic, ginger, onion and a little salt. And then I put the wrapped banana leaf in bowl and dipped the bowl in half an inch of water in a saucepan, covered it and heat it until the water began to boil.

Once cooled, I added some raw spring onion, sprinkled a little bit of lava rock salt, and squeezed a few drops of lemon to enhance the taste.

And you know what, it tasted awesome. And the aroma! Indescribable!!
It was worth a memory to salivate!.
